World Leaders Attend The G7 Summit In Hiroshima, Japan

President Biden and world leaders gather in Japan to discuss new sanctions on Russia, as Ukraine's Zelensky is also expected to join them this weekend.

The seven nation's leaders at the G7 Summit: the United States, Japan, Germany, the United Kingdom, France Canada, & Italy. 

The group released a joint statement at the summit to stand against Moscow's "illegal, unjustifiable, and unprovoked" invasion of Ukraine. 

The sanctions would increase costs for Russia as well as those supporting their war efforts to ensure that Russia "is no longer able to weaponize the availability of energy". 

The leaders also voiced their commitment to provide support and aid to Ukraine "for as long as it takes".
