Pope Francis Hospitalized For A Respiratory Infection, Vatican Spokesperson Says

On Wednesday, Vatican City announced that Pope Francis will spend "a few days" in the hospital for a respiratory infection. 

The statement read that the 86-year-old pope had been complaining about breathing difficulties in recent days, but testing negative for Covid-19. 

The city added that Pope Francis is thankful for the many messages and wishes that he continues to receive.
