On Tuesday morning, Pakistan's former Prime Minister Imran Khan was arrested after appearing at the Islamabad Court for corruption charges.
Khan's supporters have plotted large-scale protests around Pakistan. Khan's party members have called for a "shut-down" of Pakistan with protests.
Reports noted that the former prime minister, who led from 2018-2022, was forcibly dragged from the courtroom and handled in a "cruel and criminal manner", sources say.
