The World's Oldest Person, A French Nun, Dies At Age 118

Born in 1904, Sister Andre, died on Tuesday in the southern city of Toulon, at the age of 118.

The city's mayor, Huber Falco, publicized her passing on Twitter, writing his message in "immense sadness and emotion".

Before becoming a nun, she looked after children during WW2 and spend over 25 years looking after orphans and taking care of the elderly at a hospital.

When she turned 118, she received a hand-written latter from French President Emmanuel Macron, wishing her a happy birthday.
