Xi spoke for over an hour and forty five minutes without a mask, for the occasional event in Beijing.
The Chinese leader has set a new goal for the nation, that they must be a powerful socialist nation by 2049, a century after the republic was founded.
Xi said that China's "great rejuvenation" is now an "irreversible process" and that "high quality" growth is the main goal.
