Pakistan's former President & General Pervez Musharraf has passed away in a Dubai Hospital after a prolonged illness according to Pakistan's Military Force. He was 79 years old.

The leader became a key ally to the U.S. following the 9/11 terror attacks, and was a rigorous figure in combatting Islamic extremism.
