United States & Taiwan Begin To Negotiate On Trade Initiatives

On Wednesday, the U.S. and Taiwan agreed upon new trade and foreign policies. Both nations say they want to produce "meaningful outcomes".

The United States and Taiwan have set an agenda which include trade facilitation, good regulatory practices, and removing trade barriers. 

However, free broad trade has not been discussed, even though Taiwan has been pressing for it.
