On Sunday, U.S. special operation forces carried out a precautious evacuation of American Embassy workers from Sudan as battles rage on. The helicopters were on the ground for less than an hour.
Around a hundred troops in three MH-47 carried out the operation, evacuating about seventy of the remaining workers from an undisclosed location in Ethiopia.
Over 400 people were killed so far in the Sudanese battles. No shots were fired during the evacuation.
