The U.S. Shoots Down An Unidentified High-Altitude Object Over Alaska

On Friday, President Joe Biden ordered the U.S. military to down a unidentified high-altitude object flying over Alaskan waters. The president has called the operation a success.

The flying object, at an altitude of 40,000 feet and as big as a car, posed a "reasonable threat" to civilian flight, said a White House official.

The Pentagon has announced that an recovery operation is underway.
