F-16 Fighter Jet(s) Intercept Unresponsive Cessna Plane Flying Over D.C. With Supersonic Boom

Around 3:15 p.m., a loud boom was heard in the Washington Metropolitan Area by locals which was assumed to be an explosion. 

According to various reports, an F-16 fighter jet was cleared to use supersonic in attempt to communicate with an unresponsive Cessna aircraft flying on a strange path, just outside the capital. 

The unresponsive Cessna aircraft later than crashed near Staunton, Virginia.
