On Sunday, Twitter CEO Elon Musk called to prosecute Anthony Fauci, chief medical advisor of Joe Biden who has led the critical response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a tweet, Elon Musk said "My pronouns are Prosecute/Fauci", immediately causing backlash with politicians and even the LGBTQ+ community. Elon also shared a meme which was edited to show Fauci telling Joe Biden, "just one more lockdown, my king...".
Lawmakers and other officials accused Elon of wanting "attention" and some even saying "Shame on you" to the billionaire. Former CIA Director John Brennan called Fauci a "national hero", in response to Musk's tweet.
