Debates Come Up Around The U.S. As Joe Biden Plans To Pardon Marijuana Possession Charges

Joe Biden announces on Thursday that his is taking steps to relieve marijuana victims and to pardon strict cannabis guidelines. 

In a tweet, Joe Biden says that possessing marijuana has "upended too many lives" for possessing or using marijuana. In a follow up tweet, he said that "no one should be in jail just for using or possessing marijuana." and refers to current marijuana laws as a "failed approach".

Although, Joe Biden has not pardoned marijuana possessors yet, Twitter users debate and question his words, with his tweets currently having over 700k likes combined.   

Cannabis stocks soar on Friday as companies look for new ways to approach the new way of dealing with marijuana.
