A man who was brutally stabbed early Tuesday near downtown San Francisco was tech executive Bob Lee, the founder of the payment service, Cash App.
According to police, officers responded to the stabbing at around 2:35 a.m. Tuesday.
Bob Lee was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died, police said.
In a Wednesday statement, chief executive of MobileCoin said that Bob Lee "passed away yesterday", praising his business acumen. The executive went on, referring to Bob as a "child of dreams" and "a force of nature".
