Biden-McCarthy Debt-Ceiling Deal Passes In The House, Advances To The Senate

The House passed legislation Wednesday to implement the debt-ceiling deal made between Biden and McCarthy in hopes f avoiding default.

The bill passed in a 314-117 vote which consisted of more Democrat support than Republican. With Republicans holding a 149-71 vote, and Democrats 165-46.

Despite some disagreements with the deal, most members in the House saw it as the 'only way' to avoid a catastrophic default.
