Five militant groups carried out an attack at a school in Uganda on Friday. At least 37 were confirmed killed in the attack at the Lhubiriha secondary school in Mpondwe by Uganda's information minister.
The attackers wielded machetes along with bombs. At least 17 of the 37 killed were burned to death. The cause of the fire remains unclear as to whether it was caused by the bombings. Some students were also said to have been abducted by the group.
The militia is confirmed to be a Islamic State group in the Uganda/Dr Congo region.
The Ugandan army responded to the rebel attack with a swarm of helicopters in search of the 'terrorist' group along with other military actions.
