Pakistan's Interior Minister said Friday that at least 350 Pakistanis were on the fishing boat that sank in the seas of Greece last week, promising to prosecute those responsible for the tragedy.
The vessel with a maximum capacity of 400 people had around 700 onboard when it sank on June 14th.
The boat consisted of people from Pakistan, Egypt, Syria, and Palestine when it sank about 40-60 miles from the Greek town of Pylos.
Authorities say that the smugglers who coordinated the vessel's trip charged around $8000 per person to take them to Europe via an illegal sea route, some of the smugglers have been identified and arrested.
The number of casualties is still unclear as the search for the victims remains underway.
