On Tuesday evening, a gunman opened fire near a high school graduation venue in Richmond, Virginia, killing at least 2 and injuring 5.
The shooting occurred at Richmond's Monroe Park with many injuries reported, including a 9-year-old hit by a car as people fled the scene.
The suspect has been detained by police and will face 2 counts of second-degree murder.
The two who were killed during the shootout was an 18-year-old graduate and a 36-year-old male attendee.
The injured victims currently undergo care at local hospitals.
