The U.S. is currently in the process of approving Patriot air and missile equipment to Ukraine, with a pending sign from Joe Biden.
Volodymyr Zelensky has urged the U.S. so send Patriot artillery produced by Raytheon and Lockheed Martin to "counter" Russia's relentless barrage of missiles.
The transfer of the Patriot batteries could occur as early as this week, depending on Joe Biden's approval. The missiles have an estimated 100 miles of maximum range which widely depend on which systems will be sent to Ukraine.
The typical Patriot battery includes radar detection, power generation supply, and other communication systems which will be integrated into the main system of the ordnance.
Moscow has responded to the potential transaction and warns of "unpredictable consequences" if the U.S. proceeds with the deal.
