Stocks Tumble After U.S. Credit Rating Downgraded By Fitch Ratings

Fitch Ratings downgraded the U.S. debt rating Tuesday from AAA to AA+, citing a "steady deterioration" in government standards. 

U.S. stock sold off following the concerning news. The Nasdaq saw the worst day in 5 months, Dow closed downwards 0.98%, and the S&P down nearly 1.4%.

Tech giant stocks led the market decline Tuesday with major companies seeing losses.
