U.S. stocks close higher after December inflation report shows lower rates.
In 2022, the Federal Reserve aggressively increased interest rates to cool down the high inflation rates, which have helped in late 2022. At market close on Thursday, the S&P rose 0.34%, Dow Industrials up 0.64%, and the Nasdaq also up 0.64%.
